A little chalk. A clearer idea.Skip to how it works
Chalk circles c in y = 2x + c. Beside the equation, a note explains that c is the starting value: when x = 0, y = c. If c = 3, the line crosses the y-axis at (0, 3).

Ten-second recorded demonstration. Scrolling down advances the footage; scrolling up reverses it. It pauses when you stop. Chalk circles c in y = 2x + c, and an adjacent note explains: c is the starting value. When x = 0, y = c. If c = 3, the line crosses the y-axis at (0, 3). Use normal keyboard scrolling or skip to the next section.

A question can be this specific

From “I’m stuck here”
to “now I see it.”

You shouldn’t have to explain your entire question again just to understand one small part.

01

Bring a question.

Type a question or use voice. Your mentor responds in chat and puts explanations, examples, and equations on the board.

02

Point to the tricky part.

Highlight a word, select part of an equation, or circle a step. Choose Ask for a quick explanation, or Ask in chat to add a specific question.

03

Keep the idea in view.

Open the explanation beside your original work. Resize it, collapse it into a note, and return to it as you work through the bigger picture.

See it. Work through it.

Text, maths, code, graphs, and images in one place. Add working space, draw with chalk, erase your annotations, and connect the dots.

Talk it through.

Let’s talk

What is Chalk Mentor?

Chalk Mentor is an AI learning workspace with a conversational mentor and an interactive board. Read explanations, explore equations, draw your own working, and ask for help with the exact part that feels unclear.

What makes it different from a chat conversation?

Your question can point to something on the board. Highlight a word or part of an equation, then ask for an explanation beside it. The original idea stays in view, so you can follow the connection.

What can I learn with it?

We are starting with mathematics and technical subjects, including calculus, linear algebra, probability, and machine learning. It is designed to help you explore concepts and worked examples; it is not a guarantee of correctness for every question.

Can I talk to the mentor?

The current application supports turn-based voice: speak, pause, and listen to the reply. Speaking over the mentor to interrupt it is not supported yet. Voice availability depends on the configured speech service and your browser.

Can the mentor make mistakes?

Yes. AI explanations and worked solutions can be incorrect. Check important results against your course materials or a trusted source, and ask the mentor to explain its reasoning when a step is unclear.

Are my lessons saved across devices?

In the current application, boards and chat history are saved in your browser. They are not yet synced through an online account. You can export boards to keep a separate copy.

Is the beta available, and what does it cost?

You can express interest by email now; online signup is coming later. Sending an inquiry does not create an account or give immediate access. Access details and any applicable pricing will be shared before you decide to participate. No payment details are needed to get in touch.

Can I use Chalk Mentor on my phone?

The public website works on mobile. For the current board experience, we recommend a laptop or desktop with room for your lesson and mentor chat. We are still refining the smaller-screen learning experience.
